The thing about three friends is that there’s always a majority. For instance, right now, Elissa and Jessica (with my vague support) are pissed at each other for the same reason that I was pissed at Elissa (with Jessica’s support) three weeks ago. Before that we were both pissed at Jessica, you get the picture. They never seem to both be really mad at me, but maybe I just don’t notice- which makes me think that they don’t either. Or maybe it’s just girls- too many hormones running around. Personally, I’ve just gotten off the pill, so I imagine I’ve been less than amazing to be around myself.
Made more wonderful things for dinner last night, including a terriffic cucumber-mint salad. I’m seriously really impressed that I didn’t eat Kraft Mac and Chesse once this week (or fortnight or whatever).
Wow, just totally fudged my way into another year of contacts. My prescription expired in June, but I got them to sell me a box each of my current prescription. But I did it too late, so they weren’t going to get to my house before I leave for Paris, so I’m going into pick up a pair of trials that will tide me over til the box arrives. Bear in mind I’ve been wearing the pair of trials they gave me in June 2003 for the last year - just a bit longer than the recommended two weeks. Instead of being tinted blue so you can see them, they are now quite literally brown. I don’t have trouble finding them. Though this may be because they’ve eaten my eyes.
I got my massive “Europe on a Shoestring” book today. At 1300 pages it’s the size of a brick, and just as heavy. Thinking about ripping out the countries I’m not going to, but the book lover in me tells me to keep it in tact.
God could this be a bit more boring, please?
