So far…
I´d just first like to point out that the earliest night i´ve made it to bed so far was on the train that left at 11:30 pm. it´s been a time. my flight was three hours late leaving chicago because whoops! one of the brakes wasn´t working properly. okay so let´s fix that, then there were storms, etc. so i almost didn´t make it in time to meet taous (but i did). so i got some mondo good paris info and a phone off her. the phone seems to not actually work that well, so i´m not that pleased thus far that i´ve invested 30 bucks in it.
paris was a blast. hung out with the following people: two aussie chicks that literally stared down any cute boy in the street, usually making a comment as well. paul, a guy from iowa who took baths at 5:30 am, i think because he was awkward about being in a room with girls. Chloe, 17 from london via s. africa, looks exactly like the girl on 6 ft under. various americans with varing degrees of loudness. two irish that brought out whiskey after about 12 bottles of wine.
things i have done: watched a guinean band in a park in paris- totally free concert i just happened to pass; it was awesome. Sang “you´ve lost that loving feeling” at the time of my lungs with the two irish guys at a couple of americans that were destined to kiss. taken an overnight train with bunkbeds, actually the best sleep i´ve had. soaked up the sun today in san sebastian, spain.
pretty glorious in all so far. occasionally i get really lonely for about an hour, but then there´s usually someone new in the hostel or what have you. everyone (esp. people like me traveling alone) is insanely friendly, so it´s easy to have a good time. San Seb. is meant to be just heaving every night, nightclubs, etc. In fact, I think i´m pretty lucky that i found accomidation. Going to the guggenheim museum in bilbao tomorrow. a day trip as apparnetly it´s the only reason to go.
speaking of which, I must too!
Ha ha, spell check really not useful here at all.
