I saw a bumper sticker this morning that said “Abortion is Child Abuse.” I’ve seen other stickers that say things like, “Abortion is Murder,” but this seems rather odd. If you believe that a fetus is a child from conception, which I definitely don’t, abortion would be murder. But child abuse? It’s not like RU-486 or a doctor is going to take the belt to the fetus; it’s going to end its potential to become a child. If you’re going to be anti-choice enough to mar your automobile, go whole hog with murder because “Abortion is Child Abuse” is the stupidest argument against abortion that I’ve ever heard. And I’ve seen you guys on the sides of roads during marches; there are some pretty dumb arguments. Just a tip for you right-wingers out there.
