Stevens Redux
I meant to post this the other day as well, but forgot.
Here is the audio from Stevens’ speech:
In it, you can hear him stumble through phrases like, “entities that support this provide streaming… s-s-stuff…on the-the-on the internet.”
He pronounces Deutsch Telecom “douche telecom.”
Also, on the audio you can hear the exchange with the person trying to cut him off. He interrupts, and Stevens says he wants to continue, and the man says, “Oh, I’m sorry. I thought you were finished.” No he didn’t.
After his “tubes” outburst, Stevens allows that “maybe there is a place for commerical net [?], but it’s not using what the consumers use everyday.” That’s right. There should be a different designation for commerical use. Like .com or something.
Oh and by the way, Stevens is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.
Really.
