This Week In “You’ve Got to Be Kidding” News
Unbelievable. On Sunday (10/22), President Bush told George Stephanopoulos that the administration’s strategy in Iraq has “never been ’stay the course.’” Stephanopoulos didn’t follow up, probably because he was too busy picking his jaw up off the ground, but luckily Think Progress took care of it.
I’m sorry that I can’t upload the videos directly, but they are conveniently linked below:

Think Progress’ “stay the course” clip show
The one thing I can figure out how to embed (stupid Flash) is this clip from The Daily Show from mid-August. Apparently the administration’s rhetoric is just catching up to that of Ken Mehlman.
Important note: Mehlman says they’re not “stay the course” on Aug 13. The president again uses the phrase on Aug. 30. Someone needs to get the memos to the whole team…
Edit: Crooks and Liars posted a link to a YouTube “stay the course” video. It’s a little more dramatic (note the Requiem for Dream soundtrack), but saves you the trouble of looking at two different links. I know you gots things to DO!
