Definition of a Hoax.
Just a quick message to Senator Inhofe (R-OK) who thinks global warming is the “greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.”
Dictionary.com defines “hoax,” a noun, as “something intended to deceive or defraud.” Polar bears, the 10,000 former inhabitants of Lohachara, and a 41 square mile ice shelf aren’t hoaxes.
Then again, you’re not Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works anymore, so your opinion (and your plugs for Michael Crichton) not so important anymore.
To Senator Tim Johnson: Get well soon.

Nicely, this polar bear proposal would in effect require the administration to recognize the impact of global warming on the habitat of the bears and accordingly curtail greenhouse gas production. It should also limit oil prospecting. Maybe, maybe…george will suddenly become the environmental president! Right.
