Airline reaches out to passenger stung by scorpion

United’s really making an effort - then again, there is precedent:

A man was also stung by a scorpion Sunday on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Toronto. In 2003, a scorpion stung a 70-year-old man on a plane traveling to O’Hare from Mexico City.

Though really, a scorpion stinging you is one of the better things that can happen to you on a United flight these days (three dollars for peanuts, my ass).
