Quote of the Day - or Jan 23rd
There appears to be a bit of unsurprising displeasure from the Obama camp toward Fox News, which last week parroted a story made up reported in Insight Magazine. Since then, Fox journalists have had trouble getting in touch with Obama’s staff, gaining interviews. So far, Fox hasn’t issued an apology, but one good thing has come out of the whole mess. The VP of news for Fox sent this to his staff last week:
For the record: seeing an item on a website does not mean it is right. Nor does it mean it is ready for air on FNC. The urgent queue is our way of communicating information that is air-worthy. Please adhere to this.
Also for the record: Insight is owned by the conservative Washington Times. It’s no mere ‘website.’ The Chicago Tribune, on the other hand, is blaming bloggers for the story.*
To any Fox News reporter stumble upon this website, I strongly advise you to check this story before screaming it across the airwaves. You can do that here.
*ps - The Tribune also ran a commentary piece with this sentence last week:
The current trend away from marriage and toward divorce and/or remaining single has more to do with overcritical women and their excessive expectations than it does with unsuitable men.
Sadly, you can’t see the picture of a woman’s tongue reaching around a man to stab him though the back, making his heart pop out. It was only in the print edition, and was truly worth the ink.
