I was looking forward to ellen dancing around and being nicely quirky. Not so much. The whole show seemed really controlled and sterile. That guy backstage kept referring to surprises but I didn't see any. Several bad jokes about sex and downey jr making fun of himself. Clint Eastwood as an interpreter? Huh. I was pleasantly surprised that Melissa Etheridge won. I was certain they were going to give the award to this year's recycled musical. I love that Etheridge song. Plus she kissed and emotionally thanked her wife on national television. That made my evening. I want to see Westbank Story.
