That was a strange Clint moment. I presume his remarks were prepared?

I also want to see West Bank Story. Looks awesome. And also a winner, which, of course, I like.

For the most part I didn't really find the show very exciting--in fact a lot of the jokes were uninspiring. I was looking forward to ellen dancing around and being nicely quirky. Not so much. The whole show seemed really controlled and sterile. That guy backstage kept referring to surprises but I didn't see any. Several bad jokes about sex and downey jr making fun of himself. Clint Eastwood as an interpreter? Huh.

I was pleasantly surprised that Melissa Etheridge won. I was certain they were going to give the award to this year's recycled musical. I love that Etheridge song. Plus she kissed and emotionally thanked her wife on national television. That made my evening.

Seriously, why on earth was Jerry Seinfeld

On stage at all?

Up there for so incredibly long?

I haven't seen United 93, but everyone who did says it should have won things. Ah well, at least all those Mexicans didn't win as many awards as threatened. The terrorists may have won last night, but at least illegal immigrants didn't. Our democracy is preserved.

Glad you've subscribed. I just wish Tourgasm was still on. Those were about my favorite blogs ever.

Jerry cares!

I too was surprised that Children of Men did not get cinematography. I thought that was more of a lock, and far more deserving, than eyebrows' directorial win. In fact I think Cuaron should have, at the least, been nominated for director. And United 93 should have won something.

On a side-note, I figured out how to subscribe to your rss and am glad I did.
