Completely Unnecessary

The author, Phillip Schlesinger, later goes on to say:

Thus, in British work the lobby model as a central focus has been applied to other areas of institutional activity - quite rightly, because that is how things work.

This, naturally, caused me to to write “ha ha” in the margin. I then drew an arrow to the “ha ha” from the end of the paragraph where he cited his own work as an example of this truism.

All in all, it’s been a thrilling evening. And now morning.
