My first go at cornbread went well - and Sam liked my pumpkin pie so much she nearly vomited. Hurrah.
AND!!! After living here a full five months, I finally took a trip over to the Spanish grocery and found salsa verde.
Oh, and black beans in a can (no one tell my mother). In my defense, the can is enormous and also eleven dollars.

Just biked home form a 4th party in a driving rainstorm. My socks yielded a vast quantity of gray water.

Nothing’s wrong with them. I couldn’t find them here, so made my mother ship some over from the US.

I know right?!!? That and cheap Mexican food. We could make a killing.
My sneakers are wet, too. It’s been pissing down for at least a couple hours everyday. That’s not a complaint, mind you, I just wish it’d be a little bit better at telling me what shoes to wear.
