We have already had this discussion a couple of times. As I recall we are in agreement. I think it came up quite a bit during the Topinka campaign.

I still generally disagree with the way that people use the word 'provocation' to posit intent where it has not been established. She is not provoking any reaction. The reaction of this journalist (or rather of the imaginary men she is considering) to her cleavage is based more in her beliefs about cleavage than HRCs intent to drum up some reaction.

Well, I think the point of the entire article is that HRC is trying to do something different - she had one look and is now changing it. I think she's trying to analyze the change, etc. My real problem is that it's an issue - sure they talk about John Edward's $400 dollar haircut, but it's just not to the same degree that women's appearance is scrutinized.

I have been reading since two this afternoon but I have to go to Taavo's going away party. I mean I like him and all but I think the tent is surrounded by death eaters!

Also I want to write loads of angry things about that HRC article below. Cleavage is provocation?! Sorry, the mere fact that she normally manages to dress without cleavage indicates that she must spend a lot of time shopping. I never go out for cocktails and I am always drowning in cleavage. It might be a story if Bill had dumped his junk on the table or something.
