Interesting that the intervention involved scrapping the CDEP program and now he's suggesting it is part of the solution!

The opposition (and I'm sure some of media) are still talking about it in terms of "fixing" Indigenous communities rather than looking at the failure of white Australia's welfare and justice systems that, as you point out, sent the girls back against the requests of their parents! 

I think so far Macklin seems to have maintained the focus on this failure and I hope she doesn't suddenly change her tact and expand the intervention measures.</description>
