I mean, yes, both Obama and McCain actively campaigned there, but we shouldn't overlook three previous elections of people hating on Oberweis and the Chicago Tribune's active campaigning against him. Did you see the Sun Times actually endorsed Oberweis? What kind of world are we living in where the Trib endorses the Dem, while the Sun Times goes to bat for the crazy Republican? Yeah, I think the media’s definitely overstating that bit of it.
